Happy Labor Day

Cara is golfing
Cara got this little denim outfit for her birthday and the cooler weather on Saturday morning gave her a chance to wear it with the jacket, isn't it cute?

Cara is trying out the tractor, while Daddy and Grandpa are busy working in the yard

Taking a little swim, aka skinny dip, in Grandma's alligator pool

On Friday we headed up to Grandma and Grandpa A's house for a visit. Cara had not seen her grandparents in 3 weeks since Aunt Cyndi left, and boy were they surprised by the changes in her. She is now only eating table food, will even eat things Mommy doesn't like! She also is WALKING! We got to their house on Friday and Cara started taking a few steps like she did at home, then she just kept going. There was no stopping her, she just kept walking all weekend! She finally has it mastered. Of course, there are times when she crawls, but she at least always attempts to walk first. Grandma has a great video of her walking on her blog!

On Saturday we headed out the the Fort Wayne Childrens Zoo, that will have to be another post, there are too many pictures! Saturday evening, one of Mommy's friends, Sally, came over for a visit. She had not seen Cara in several months and was surprised at how big she has gotten. Al and Sandy, Grandma and Grandpa's friends, also came over for dinner. We enjoyed a nice Labor Day weekend cookout with everyone!
Sunday was a nice relaxing day. We did not pack Cara's swimsuit because the weather had turned cooler and we figured the pool water would be much too cold for Cara. Little did we know that the inflatable alligator pool would be ready to go with warm water for a quick swim in the afternoon sun on the deck! So, with no bathing suit, and in the privacy of the screened in deck, Cara went skinny dipping in the alligator pool. She loved it and played for quite a while. She really had fun when she pulled out the plug and let the water run loose all over the deck and all over a fully clothed Grandma sitting right next to her.
We headed back for home Sunday evening after dinner. We enjoyed our visit with Grandma and Grandpa and look forward to seeing them again soon!

Great photos! I love the Minnie mouse clothes! Was I really with you guys when you bought that (in Chicago)? It seems like a life time ago.

Sure wish Uncle Dan and I could have joined you all for Labor Day weekend. I didn't even know it was holiday yesterday (oops, our labor day was in May). Who thought it was a good idea to put Italy so far away from America. Wonder if we could move them a little closer.

Miss you all so much. I love your blog, but some days it makes me so homesick.

Sending my love to you all and little extra for you Cara.
Love,
Aunt Cyndi
