Pumpkin Carving

Last weekend we carved our pumpkins! Our friend Gigi also came over to carve with us. Lacey and Wyatt also stopped by to say hi which thrilled Cara, she just loves Baby Wyatt!

The finished products! Mommy did Princess Aurora, Daddy did the Halloween face, and Gigi's is the witch on a broomstick. Cara's two little pumpkins got decorated as a pig and a doggy too!

Cousin Vince's Birthday Party

Last Saturday was the birthday party for Cousin Vince! Can't believe he is 8 years old already! He had a costume Halloween themed party!

Cara chose to wear her Princess Aurora costume
Here she is taking her turn at the Spongebob Pinata, she already had practice from the one at school the previous week

They rented a huge blow up obstacle course, too bad it had rained so much the day before, the ground was a muddy mess, but don't worry it didn't stop the kids!

The whole gang stopped and posed for a picture

Here Vince is opening our present, the Captain Rex helment, which he loved!
Happy Birthday to Vince!! 8 is great!!

Preschool Fall Party

Last Wednesday was the fall party at Cara's preschool. We did crafts, games, and had a yummy cupcake snack!

Here is Cara decorating her scarecrow
And decorating a pumpkin face mask

Time for the pinata out on the playground, the kids loved being able to hit something with a stick

And snack time, a quite popular time at school!
It was fun to spend some time with Cara and her friends at school. A room full of 3 year olds is pretty funny!

The Great Zoo Halloween at the FW Children's Zoo

Last weekend we headed to Grandma and Grandpa A's house so we could all go to the Great Zoo Halloween at the Children's Zoo. Grandma has been dealing with a bad knee so she stayed home to rest up while the rest of us headed to the zoo. It was a pretty chilly evening, but nothing a nice warm coat didn't fix!

Cara chose her Minnie Mouse costume for the occasion, which worked out great since she could wear a black turtleneck and tights to stay warmer.
The paths of the zoo are lined with carved pumpkins, thousands of them!

I thought this pumpkin display was great! Someone was very clever and talented

Stopping for a drink break, Cara is showing off her pumpkin sippy cup

One of the treat stations, this one was a giant pixie stick

Stopping to pose one more time on the way out, what a fun evening!

Cara realized she was standing next to an Ariel pumpkin and wanted another picture up close

Our Annual Trip to the Apple Festival

Apples and pumpkins everywhere! That is what we found at the Orchard on Saturday for our annual trip to their fall festival. And the weather turned surprisingly chilly for the day! We met Grandma and Grandpa Fox, Oscar and Dillon just in time for a late lunch at the festival!
