A little jazz on a Tuesday evening...

Tuesday evening Rossville High School hosted a jazz concert featuring the Rossville Jazz Orchestra, professional trumpeter Bob Lark, and the Purdue Jazz Band. It was the kick off of the Purdue Jazz Festival! Scott's high school students had the privilege of working with Bob Lark and Mo Trout (the director of Purdue's Jazz Band) all day! The outcome was amazing, the jazz band sounded exceptionally good during the concert!

After dinner on Monday Grandma Abbott came home with us because she and Grandpa decided to go to the concert on Tuesday. So Grandpa drove to Rossville and met us for dinner beforehand. Cara was very happy to spend some extra time with her Grandma and Grandpa.

Celebrating!

This past Monday we had a couple of upcoming occasions to celebrate so we asked Grandma and Grandpa A to bring Great Grandma A and meet us half way for dinner. Our pit stop of convenience (approx half way) is Cracker Barrel! So earlier in the day Cara and I made and decorated two cakes, one for Great Grandma A's 87th birthday and one for Grandma and Grandpa's 43rd anniversary!

Random Pics

Grandma F made Cara this cute little dress which she wore to church recently, she wasn't quite into her model picture taking mode early on a Sunday morning though

Ever since Christmas her love of her dolls has grown so much, she takes them all up to bed with her and brings them down to go shopping during the daytime

Another Sunday dressed up for church looking pretty cute again :)

When I look at the pictures I see my girl looking so old and getting so grown up! Where did my baby girl go?

It's Snow Fun...

Cara just loves playing in the snow! It was pretty cold out and since she was still recovering from a double ear infection, we were pretty careful out there! Daddy was treated to a snow day on Friday so we all took advantage and went out to play in the snow!

Checking out the 5 inches that we got!
Attempting a snow angel!
Daddy showing here how it is done! At which point she got up and gave up :)

Helping Daddy shovel, day 2. He already shoveled a lot the day before, so it was quick work on Friday!

Playdate fun

In an attempt to survive the winter blues we have scheduled several playdates with our friend Ali! (I work with Ali's mommy Kitty) The first of which was this week and we ended up playing at their house, so Ali could show us her new toys that she got for her birthday and Christmas!

Ali and Cara playing dress up

Then we went out to lunch and our friends Lindsay and her daughter Lydia joined us. We can't wait for Lydia to be bigger to join in on the playdates! Each of the girls couldn't wait to hold Lydia, and being the trooper that she is, it went okay!

Ali's turn, with a little help from Kitty!

Thanks for the fun playdate girls! We look forward to another one in February!
