Thanksgiving Memories

Family picture!
It is hard to see but Cara is holding a spoon, only wishing she could have some of that pumpkin pie! Grandma A (holding her) would have been happy to share if Mommy would have let her!
Cousin Oscar and Cara playing side-by-side in exersaucers!

My First Thanksgiving!! Hanging out with Grandpa A!

We wanted to share some pictures from our Thanksgiving Day festivities! We spent the day at Grandma and Grandpa F's, along with both of Emily's brothers and their familes, Great Grandma E. and Grandma and Grandpa A! Cara had lots of hands that wanted to hold her, she was very lucky to have both sets of grandparents there to celebrate her first official Thanksgiving Day! We all had such a great day, with great food, and enjoyed spending the day with those we love!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours. We hope you each have a wonderful day and that you are able to spend it with family and friends. We have so much to be thankful for this year, we are just so lucky to have a little miracle to light up our lives. We have not let a day go by without realizing how blessed we are, but especially on this Thanksgiving day we truly understand how lucky we are!

16 weeks old

We finally figured out how to use another feature on our camera last night. It can take pictures in black & white, sepia, "green", "blue" and the traditional color but all of these images are taken in high definition. We had fun trying out all of these features with Cara's adorable face!

Mommy had to work Friday night and Saturday night so Cara and Daddy had lots of good bonding and play time together. We are all looking forward to the upcoming holiday and the long weekend this week!

Cara with Santa

We couldn't think of a better way to spend a rainy Wednesday evening than by going to the mall to get Cara's picture with Santa. We really wanted to enjoy her picture all season long, and to avoid the normal holiday rush at the mall. We knew Cara wouldn't be too patient to wait in long lines as the holiday season progressed, so we beat the rush. She was dressed in her new Christmas dress which will be used again soon for family pictures. So if you aren't in the holiday spirit yet, maybe this will inspire you!!

15 Weeks

We figured everyone was ready for an updated picture of Cara. These were taken over the weekend. She is 15 weeks old today. She is such a good baby. Sleeping well, eating well (if you can't tell by her adorable round cheeks), and overall doing great. Last night she slept from 10:30 pm to 8:30am without ever waking. Wow! Much needed sleep for all of us!!

Mommy wanted to put the Christmas tree up this past weekend to start taking pictures. Daddy thought she was a little crazy and vetoed the idea. Maybe next weekend.....

Cara's New Activity Center

Cara has a new toy; the Baby Einstein Activity center. She loves it!! She can "stand" up in it, and it rotates 360 degrees with toys all around. She hasn't gotten the concept of spinning in it, but she loves standing up and being a big girl. She is surrounded by bright toys and noisemakers, lots of fun things to play with. She just got it yesterday, and once Daddy got it all put together we tried it out. She loved it right from the start. She played it in last night before bedtime and again this morning. It will definitely be a favorite! Her cousin Oscar has one and highly recommended it. Good suggestion Oscar!

Aunt Cyndi Goes Home

With Aunt Cyndi at the airport
In the Italian outfit from Aunt Cyndi and Uncle Dan

Cyndi's last meal in America was at Applebee's on the way to the airport Thursday. It was nice that Cyndi had an 8 pm flight, gave us time for a quick visit and dinner on the way to the airport. The month that Cyndi was here just flew by, it definitely did not seem long enough. I am sure she is enjoying snuggling with her husband and her cats right about now after a long night of flying. We really enjoyed her visit and Cara was thrilled to have the extra company. Hopefully everything will work out for Cyndi and Dan to come back to the states in July for a vacation and family wedding.
