Cara's First Communion

This was a very special time for Cara in the Catholic church because she made her First Communion.  Grandma and Grandpa Abbott, Aunt Cyndi, and Grandma and Grandpa Fox all came to help her celebrate!

Decorations for our party
Cara got a very special present from G & G Abbott, her very own ruby ring with little diamonds on it

posing for some pictures in the backyard before heading to church

Will was done with pictures but we tried to get a picture of Aunt Cyndi with the kids
Cara making her First Communion

Each child made a banner that was hung in church and here is what Cara and I created

Afterwards we had a luncheon at our house complete with cake!  Thanks Grandma Fox for making the cake and mints for the occasion! Congratulations Cara!

Easter 2014

Easter morning, I had to work the night before, there were strict instructions to stay upstairs until I was home from work!  Cara was wide awake and ready but we had to wake Will!

What did the Easter bunny bring us?

Later in the day we went to Grandma and Grandpa Fox's house for an Easter dinner and egg hunt
the kids had color coded eggs so they all had the same number, just had to find their color

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for such a nice Easter!

Palm Sunday and Egg hunt at church

He wanted to stop, open and eat what was in each egg instead of running to get more

Scott went with Cara and I went with Will for the egg hunt because they were divided by age so I don't have any pictures of Cara picking up her eggs but it was fun.  The egg hunt started earlier than announced and a family with a little boy about Will's age was walking up to the grassy area just as we were walking to our car and they were sad to see it was over.  The little boy's dad had his big camera and the grandma and grandpa were there.  So I asked Cara if she would share some of her eggs with the little boy and she ran back and put some in the grass for him to get and it just made their day and was a great lesson to share our riches with others.
