Happy 4th Birthday Cara!

You posed perfectly for these birthday pictures and we couldn't be happier with the results!

We are so thankful to have you in our lives! You make every day more sweet just by being in it. You laughter is contagious, batting your eyes at us means you always get your way, your hugs and kisses makes us melt. You are fun, vivacious, a bit sassy, and outgoing. You love to create art projects, read books, play with the ipad, do puzzles, play with your dolls, doll house and most important you love anything and everything Princess! We thank God every single day for allowing us to be your parents!

You have been in our lives for only 4 years but I don't even remember what life was like before you! We hope you have a wonderful birthday and look forward to what this next year will bring! We love you so much! Happy Birthday Sweet Baby Girl!!

20 Year reunion

Just a few pictures from Scott's 20 year reunion, because most (all) of you come here to see pictures of Cara and not middle aged friends of Scott :)

The tables were cute, old high school colors black and gold
Self portrait time!
Scott took several of these random shots!

We had a great time hanging out with Steve! He was one of Scott's best friends and was a groomsman in our wedding. Our lives grew apart for a while when he moved to Michigan but we hope to keep the friendship growing!

Scott had a really good time reconnecting with old friends. Frankly I was pretty bored :)

Cousin Erin's Baby Shower

Last weekend in the midst of festivities for Scott's 20 year high school reunion, there was a special reason to drive to Toledo: Cousin erin's baby shower! On Friday night we got into Ft Wayne in time to head to Parkview Field for a Fort Wayne TinCaps game, the beginning of reunion festivities. Scott had fun seeing old friends and now their families. We forgot to take the camera to the game so we took a couple pics with our phone but I have no idea how to download those for the blog.

So early Saturday morning we got up and ready to head to Toledo. Grandma Abbott, Cara and I were looking forward to welcoming Baby Boy DiLorenzo at erin's shower. Erin is Scott's cousin (one of 2) so this baby will be Great Grandma Abbott's 2nd great grandchild!

Erin and her goodies!
her adorable baby bump, about a month to go!!
Opening pressies

Her shower (like her nursery) was turtle themed! Adorable cake!
And what a cute watermelon turtle, what an impressive job Uncle Duane. This picture does not even do it justice! The shower was so perfect and every last detail was adorable!

We can't wait to meet Baby Boy D in just a few weeks! Looking forward to seeing who he looks like and what his name will be! Congrats Erin and Nick!

Chicago and American Girl

The most anticipated place for Cara on our little Chicago trip was finally here, shopping and dinner at American Girl. Earlier in the day we browsed through American Girl but did not let Cara buy anything, we wanted to think about it before making too many impulse buys :)

So we got Cara and baby Cara dressed up and ready to go
We had a special birthday dinner planned at the American Girl Cafe
She was so cute in helping Baby Cara "eat"
She was bring a stinker but I wanted a picture of the 3 of us
And after dinner she was serenaded with the birthday song and cake
Make a wish...

And at the end of the visit to the store with plenty of bags to carry back to the hotel. What a lucky (spoiled?) little girl!!

Chicago Filming

They had Michigan Ave closed because they were filming Transformers 3!

The big bridge over the river was up and you can see a car right at the top of the peak
And a little wreckage at the bottom
And an overturned bus on the side street. Heard that they dropped a car from the Trump building (into the river) that evening but we didn't actually see that happen

Chicago! Day One Shedd Aquarium

Last Sunday we headed up to Chicago with Grandma and Grandpa Fox for a little birthday trip for Cara! We wanted to take her to American Girl for a birthday dinner. Our first stop on our way into town was a visit to Shedd Aquarium. Scott dropped us off and went to find a place to park. We walked up to the long line outside and were waiting for buy tickets when all of the sudden it started a huge downpour and we got drenched! It was thundering and pouring down buckets so we bolted up the stairs to the exit door just to get in out of the weather. We decided to call Scott and he had not parked yet so he picked us up and we headed to the hotel to go change. I was not about to spend a few hours in the aquarium soaking wet.

So heading up the stairs take 2, At least we already had tickets by this time and got to avoid the long ticket line.
Sitting the arena area waiting for the dolphin show to start
The Fantasea dolphin show, I captured a pretty cool airborne shot of the one dolphins
Playing in the submarine

hard to see in the picture but it is a beluga whale and her baby
Trying out a boat in the lakes and rivers portion of the aquarium

Grandma Abbott's Birthday

We went up to Grandma and Grandpa Abbott's house to celebrate Grandma's birthday!!
After a quick swim in the afternoon we went to Grandma's favorite mexican restaurant! Yum!
I used an idea from my new cupcake book and made "pie" cupcakes for her birthday
I decorated the dining room a little bit to have our family birthday party

Cara was helping Grandma blow out her candles
And we got her a couple of new blu ray movies (we had got Grandma and Grandpa a new blu ray player for both of their birthdays)

Hope you had a wonderful birthday Grandma!! We were so glad we could be there to celebrate with you!

Happy 13th Anniversary!!

Scott and I celebrated 13 years of wedded bliss on July12th! We exchanged cards and he got me these beautiful roses and a cupcake decorating book!

Then we took Miss Cara to gymnastics!

On this day they got lots of time on the bars!

And after gymnastics we had dinner reservations at The Melting Pot, yummy!!
Cara giving Mommy a huge squeeze hug!
And Cara took our picture to commemorate our day! Happy Anniversary Love!!!
