Mary Poppins

We went to see Mary Poppins at the Murat with Grandma and Grandpa Abbott!

Cara and Daddy walking to the door
Cara wore her shirt she got when we saw this show on Broadway in NYC
Her souvenir this time was the Mary Poppins doll and an extra outfit
What a fun family night! It was just as good as when we saw it on Broadway and Cara totally loved it!

Go Hoosiers!

We took Cara to her first IU football game! Scott participated in the Marching Hundred while at IU so were were especially excited to introduce her to that! The football team hasn't been much to talk about in recent years but they were 2-0 going into this game!

We got there just in time to see the band march onto the field

To our surprise it was high school band day, over 20 high schools from around the state came to perform with the Hundred at half time

Tailgating at the end of halftime with Mike and Lisa and their friends, check out the awesome tailgate van one of his friends owns. The tv in the back is awesome, complete with a full bar underneath the screen!
After tailgating we went down to Mike and Lisa's seats, in the second row! Cara and Dillon loved sharing some popcorn!
Nice seats!
A little Hoosier cheering!
yay, IU won!! 3-0

We had to stay for the Hundred post game concert! Brings back memories!!

Ballet and Tap Class!

Cara and her bestie Grace are in the same ballet/tap/tumbling class this year. On this day we drove Grace too and the girls were in heaven to spend time with each other!
They used to always be the same height, I didn't realize Cara had sprung past Grace

And after class we went to Steak and Shake for dinner!! Yummy!

Painting...Painting....Painting.....

So after getting multiple quotes about painting the house we decided that we could do it much cheaper (right?!)

Scott painting away!
Cara loved to help paint. She and I were responsible for the porch!

New paint on bottom, old paint on top. We knew it needed painted but didn't realize how bad it had faded until the colors were side by side!

Still a work in progress but we are getting there!

Church Fair night 2

On Saturday night we went to the "fare" a met up with the whole family. Great Grandma Edwards, Grandpa and Grandma Fox, Mike, Lisa, Dillon, Oscar, Joe, Amy, Vince and Charlotte all came for the fun times!

But somehow....this is the only picture I ended up with all night! What?!

Mike, Oscar, Lisa, Scott and Cara enjoying a late evening snack!

St Malachy Country "Fare"

Our church hosts a big "country fare" every fall as a big fundraiser. On Friday evening Dendra and Zaina come over to go with us. They were so sweet and brought Cara a new outfit, so the girls matched.

Cara loved the carnie rides of course

The girls went to have some BINGO fun
Yummy fresh sweet corn!!
I couldn't believe that Cara liked this one...but she did
So cute, best friends forever. A few people asked them if they were sisters, not surprising since they look so much alike right?? :)

Thanks girls for coming with us, we had a great time!

Meeting Baby Reece

My friend Gigi had her baby while we were in Florida so one of the first things I wanted to do when we got home was to go meet him. Cara and I prepared dinner to bring and went over for some afternoon cuddle time!

As I was setting the camera back down from taking the pictures Cara started to move Reece, she thought she could just lay him down all by herself. Good thing we put a quick stop to that!

Congratulations Gigi and Matt- Reece is so adorable!

Last Day at St Pete Beach!

Cyndi and I got up to have breakfast (a bagel) on the beach while we watched the sun rise
Little did we know that we would also see dolphins coming in looking for food
Better dolphin shot

This sand castle was adorned with a beer bottle on top!
Getting ready to leave but not before we went to say hello to Danilo on the live beach cam! Every day we were there he kept looking at the camera to look for us and never saw us. So we made sure he could see us at least once time before we left!
Final time in the hammock!
Cara playing on the play set before we left, there was always so much to do she never had a chance to play on this
Cyndi talking to Danilo before leaving for the airport
Plane ride home, Cara was Aunt Cyndi's girl the whole trip, including the final plane ride!

Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa Abbott for this nice trip! We are so glad we had the opportunity for the final goodbye to Great Grandma and for the opportunity to enjoy time with the family!
