Annual Pumpkin Carving Party

We got together with our friends one evening for dinner and our annual pumpkin carving party! Between all of us almost doubled our offspring this past year so things got a bit more challenging, next year will be insane!
Cara wanted to be like the big kids and really carve her pumpkin!
Conrad and Will showing off their Halloween duds
Their conversation back and forth was hilarious!
Love cute designs on baby butts!

The Abbott family hard at work on their pumpkins
The McMillan's working hard too (caught Lacey enjoying her wine)
The babies keeping each other company
The Kluempers doing their pumpkins!
The whole gang, not the most cooperative at 8pm but we all finished and our pumpkins look marvelous!

Thanks for another great time friends, can't wait to do it again next year!!!

Fort Wayne Halloween Fun

Every year we like to go to the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo Halloween!  But first we made a stop at our favorite pumpkin place by Grandma and Grandpa Abbott's house!

Their selection was great and their prices are great too!
This pumpkin was too big to take home but fun to sit on!
And for this Halloween occasion she was Rapunzel Bride!

Will was being carried by Grandpa when suddenly he just fell asleep, plopped right over and was out!
Photo op!
oops, this was from the pumpkin patch but got out of order
The whole gang, Will was asleep otherwise I would have held him for this picture!

NYC Day 5

Total tourist thing to do...Central Park carriage ride

Beautiful park and beautiful city

And then big shopping trip to American Girl!  Will's stroller was a good carrier for us!
Back to Rockefeller to go to the Top of the Rock!

What gorgeous views!  Only place you can see the top of the Empire State Building

You can view from 3 different floors

Cara got her girls dressed up in their newest outfits! Another fun day but time to pack up!

The next day we got up, had breakfast (our hotel had free continental breakfast daily) and finished packing to head to airport! Bye New York, it was fun but exhausting!

NYC Day 4

Saturday's agenda included going to the 9/11 Memorial so our day started with a subway ride down to the lower part of Manhattan to meet Scott and the band!
The new towers are beautiful and architecturally amazing!

There are 2 reflection pools commemorating those that lost their lives on 9/11

The names of all those deceased is on the side of the pools

I was saddened walking through the memorial and even more so when trying to explain to Cara what happened on 9/11 and how it changed our country so much.
We walked to the financial district on our way to the South Seaports where we shopped and ate lunch

After lunch we walked to Chinatown for more shopping
It was crowded and crazy but Cara loved it
She got this for her room
And these cute sunglasses

From here we walked 2 blocks to Little Italy and had dinner at LaPuglia's which was delicious.  Cara went with the band to go see Lion King which she LOVVVVED!

After the show the band's charter bus headed back west to Indiana but we still had 2 days to go!
