I am 6 months old today

Today Cara is officially 6 months old! I am sure we will be celebrating her first birthday before we know it. Here are more pictures from her recent trip to the Picture People.

6 Month Pictures

We took Cara to get her 6 month pictures taken today at the Picture People. They did a great job, we had so many cute ones. Here are just a few of our favorites!

2 Teeth!!

We now have 2 teeth! Wow! Cara has been such a happy girl, we had no idea another tooth was popping through, she is handling teething really well. Overall, life for Cara has been great. Mommy had to work 3 nights in a row this week, so lots of Daddy and Grandpa time. Mommy made up for it Friday and Saturday. Today we spent the day shopping, going out to lunch, and then over to visit with cousin Oscar. The babies weren't quite sure what to do with each other, they just kept staring each other down. Finally Oscar made the first move and grabbed Cara's head for a big kiss. We are finally back home, took these pictures for the blog, and now time to relax while we wait for Daddy to come home from tonight's basketball game. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

Let It Snow!!

Cara woke up this morning to find about 4 inches of snow on the ground, her first real snow! We have had flurries a couple of times, but not enough snow to break out the snow suit and check out the white stuff. We only stayed outside for a little bit because it was cold out there, but we are glad Cara finally got to put on her snow suit, even if it was only for a few minutes. Grandma and Grandpa A were here visiting and got to share in our fun! Cara, thank you for appeasing your parents and grandparents for photo fun! Now, what a perfect day to stay inside, enjoy some yummy hot chocolate, and anxiously await the BIG football game tonight!

In My Bathrobe

Here is Cara in her bathrobe after her bath last night! So Cute!!

Eating and Sleeping

Cara fell asleep while nursing, so Mommy slid her and the Boppy off onto the couch. She looked so sweet and innocent! Luckily we have a quiet camera so taking her picture didn't wake her up.

Cara LOVES eating cereal! She gets so excited when we put her in her highchair because she knows what's coming. We will start fruits and vegetables soon.

Getting Bigger Everyday

This week our baby girl started sitting up unsupported for several minutes at a time. She also wants to stand as much as possible, always pulling up on our fingers to stand. She is getting bigger and stronger everyday. She obliged Mommy with cute smiles for photos yesterday, hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

1st Tooth

Imagine my surprise today when Cara was chewing on my finger and I realized that a tooth popped up! So we tried and tried to get a picture of it, but it is still really small. But there is one in there!! But Cara enjoyed her photo session and gave us some good smiles to share with all of you!!

Our Lil' Hoosier

It is never too early to become a fan of Indiana Basketball! Go IU!!
Cara and Daddy enjoyed a Sunday afternoon game, watching IU beat Michigan State! And of course since most people want to see more than just the back of Cara's head, had to include a current shot of her playing in her Einstein chair.

Cereal Day 2

Cereal is a work in progress! Day 2 went well with eating. The spoon is a bigger hit than what is on it. Hopefully Grandma recognizes this outfit, it came back from her last trip to Italy last February. She looks adorable in it!!

Cereal!

Our baby girl just keeps growing up! We started cereal for the first time on New Year's Day! Our doctor said at Cara's 4 month checkup that there was no hurry to start solid foods since she was gaining well and thriving on breastmilk, but that once she was showing an interest in eating she would be ready to start on cereal. So in the past week or two, Cara has been really watching what we eat, and if she is on my lap when I am eating, she practically grabs the fork out of my hand to put in her mouth. So below is the video of Cara's first experience at eating! Enjoy!!
