Hi!

We haven't posted a new picture in a while so we thought we would today! Here is the adorable chubby cheeked Cara! We wish we could put a sound byte with every picture because her laughing and cooing is too cute! She tries to mimic what we say sometimes, we swear she knows how to say "hi"!

Happy Valentine's Day

There are not enough words to describe the emotions we feel about our little Valentine. She is the joy and love of our lives. Our love for each other has deepened knowing that we created this little miracle. We took this opportunity to capture some Cara cuddles with the camera. She loves to grab our faces and lean in, or put her arms around our necks for Cara cuddles. Even Panther got to "enjoy?" a cuddle or two. Hope you have a Happy Valentine's Day!! All of our love across the miles! Love, The 3 of us

It Snowed!!

Well, the weathermen were right this time, it sure did snow! Not quite sure how much we have gotten, in the 8-10 inch range so far. It is so windy and already drifting, plus it is still snowing as I write this. Here is the front of our house. It was much too cold and windy to take Cara out to play in the snow. We enjoyed it from the window. Glad it snowed though, gives us extra time with Daddy as he got today and tomorrow off from school.

Is it snowing yet?

My rosy-cheeked princess has been looking out all day to see if the weathermen are right, is it going to snow? Some reports have us getting up to 12 inches of snow by tomorrow afternoon. But as of 4:30pm it still hasn't started. But we have enjoyed spending the day inside playing and napping. No errands, no appointments, just hanging out! Hope, wherever you are, that you are able to enjoy the weather from the comforts of your home and stay safe and dry.

Cara Loves Jazz??!!

Daddy giving Cara trumpet lessons on Friday night. Mommy was giving Cara a bath, while Daddy was giving his trumpet a "bath". Afterwards, Cara wanted a closer inspection of the toy Daddy was playing with.
Cara thinks this trumpet is pretty cool

Scott's high school jazz band at their jazz festival competition on Saturday
(sorry the picture is so dark)

Cara trying on Grandpa A's hat while waiting for the jazz performance

On Saturday Scott's middle and high school jazz bands performed in a jazz competition in Fort Wayne, so Cara and I enjoyed the opportunity to go up to Grandma and Grandpa A's house for the day. We headed over to the high school to watch his bands perform. In the past Cara has not been a fan of jazz music. Our experiences usually include Mommy and Cara out in the lobby listening through the door, but she really seemed to enjoy it yesterday. After his bands performed we went back to their house to hang out for a while. We then caught back up with his bands at Pizza Hut for dinner before our drive home. Cara was so good all day. She enjoyed spending time with her grandparents, and also enjoyed socializing with Daddy's students.

Getting Older by Emily

Cara loved the wrapping paper on my present

The past few years I have really hated the thought of getting older, one year less on my biological clock, and another birthday without reaching my goal of being a mother. Well, things felt different this year, I was celebrating my birthday with my family, especially with my daughter. Of course she had no concept of it being my birthday, but it still felt good celebrating with her. Scott got me a beautiful frame from Pottery Barn for Cara's pictures(one month through 12 months) that is personalized and Cara got me a new silver necklace for my circle of life pendant since she broke my other one.
Thank you for the cards, emails and phone calls for my birthday! It is nice to be remembered.

Happy Groundhog's Day

Happy Groundhog's Day from Cara! These pictures were actually taken on the 31st to remember her first 1/2 birthday! She was quite the ham for the camera. We thought everyone could use some new pictures!
