The Day After

To continue the magic feelings we still had from our wonderful vacation Mommy made Mickey Mouse pancakes for breakfast on Friday morning (with the help of a new silicone shape I bought on the trip)! Cara loved her pancakes! Helped ease us back into reality, the one that included unpacking, laundry, and picture downloading.

Disney Day 8, Animal Kingdom

Our last day was spent at Animal Kingdom!

Daddy and Cara looking at monkeys

Jiminy Crickett posing with the family

This is in the building at Rafiki's planet watch, the conservation station. We knew this was where Pocahontas could be found. Cara walked over to the tree where she was last year and said "where is she", this was without prompting. Crazy that she remembered from a year ago. Pocahontas wasn't there yet and we were told that maybe at noon she would arrive.

So we went outside to pet the goats while we were waiting

And shortly after we came back in she arrived! Cara was so excited. She told Pocahontas that we were waiting for her.

Nap time took precedent over lunch time for Cara, she dozed away while we enjoyed lunch! Don't worry, we fed her later :)

One of Cara's favorite activities of the trip: SHOPPING! She wanted to go in EVERY shop, which if you have ever been to Disney that is A LOT! Especially when most rides put you out right in the shop, perfect for Cara, not to great for our wallets!

Later in the evening we boarded a plane to come home. Cara did not want to leave, she was having a great trip!
Over the last couple of days every time we would get off a ride Cara would say "I hope I get to do this again someday". We don't know where she got this from, but it was so cute!!

Dsiney Day 7, More Magic Kingdom

Another day in the Magic Kingdom! We had an early breakfast reservation so we got into the park before it opened! It was great walking down Main Street with only a few other people instead of the large crowd that is usually there. This is a great tip for future parkgoers!!

This statue is usually very crowded and it is difficult to get a picture of without waiting, so it was neat to walk right up and get a picture with Walt and Mickey

Breakfast at the Crystal Palace with Pooh and friends.

Giving Piglet a hug

And Eeyore too!

Mommy and Cara riding the Dumbo ride

The 3 of us on the Buzz Lightyear Ride (one of our favorites)

We had to buy the picture again this year because it was funny, Cara was in charge of steering our ship

Cara got to drive the car (okay Mommy had to push the gas pedal), this was the only picture that you could see her, the others look like no one in driving. Daddy was in the car in front of us and he kept turning around to get our picture.

Cara was thrilled to get a new parasol, it is personalized and she loves playing with it

Wanted to end this post with a neat shot of the castle close up!

Day 6, A Day at the Beach

We took a day off from Disney fun to go see Grandma & Grandpa Abbott and Aunt Cyndi who were also in Florida visiting Great Grandma A. We know there are probably not a lot of visits left with Great Grandma A so we wanted to make sure and see her this trip. We got an extra bonus because cousin Gloria was also there with her dog Punkin (which Cara learned to love once she was allowed to walk him).

Here we are enjoying the sun in the Lanai at Great Grandma A's house

We packed up a lunch and headed over to Anna Maria Island for some Gulf swimming! Cara is checking it out and realizing the water is pretty chilly!

Family pic on the beach, lovin' the Florida sunshine

Daddy, Grandma A, and Aunt Cyndi got quick to work on a pit for Cara to play in. Mommy was filling it up with buckets until I realized the water was draining faster than I was filling, too much work!

Perfect day at the beach, sunshine, sand, her favorite people, and chocolate ice cream, perfect!

Cara's very own sand castle, her first official one

Great Grandma A, Grandpa A and Cara
It was nice to sit on the beach, relax, enjoy the water (even if it was a bit cool), and spend the day with family. What fun!!

Disney Day 5, Part 2 Epcot

After breakfast we went to Epcot for the day! Here we are meeting Chip and Dale!

Going on the Nemo ride

Sitting on the floor with kids at Turtle Talk with Crush

Right after nap time we found Mary Poppins, Cara was still half asleep but excited to see her!

Right next to Mary Poppins was Alice from Wonderland

And Cara was a little nervous to meet the Beast, but always happy to see Belle. She did give the Beast a big and high five when it was time to leave, so I guess he is okay

We had been hoping to meet Jasmine and we got a bonus with the Genie too

Then off to Italy to visit where Aunt Cyndi and Uncle Danilo live. She had a great time dancing around in Italy, she found some other little kids to run with and had a ball.
For dinner that night we went to Akershus in Norway for a Royal Feast with the Princesses

We were greeted by Belle when we first walked in

Ariel was there in her beautiful ball gown

And she enjoyed a visit from Snow White

The beautiful Cinderella

Cinderella planted a big smooch on Cara's cheek

Aurora was there too

What a fun wonderful day at Epcot! Cara really enjoyed dinner with the princesses!

Disney Day 5,Part 1 Chef Mickey's

Our day started with a trip to Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary resort for a breakfast buffet with MIckey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and Donald. It had rained overnight and was still overcast and misty when we headed out this morning. But Cara got to wear her raincoat that we had packed.

Cara playing while we wait for the Monorail

Posing for a picture at the entrance to Chef Mickey's

Goofy stopped by first and Cara was not quite sure about him, notice the grip she has on my neck

Minnie was much more of a hit

yeah, its Mickey Mouse

And Donald Duck too

Can't forget Pluto

Disney Day 4 Hollywood Studios

Back to Hollywood Studios for another day, but this time Daddy gets to go too! But we were able to do things we didn't do the other day!

Cara modeling her 3D glasses while waiting for the Muppet Show to start. She is also wearing her new tiara headpiece from a nearby gift shop! So cute!
Time to meet Lightning McQueen, she is trying to feed it a leaf, which was quickly put to a halt

But once the engine roared she was not a fan :)

We also went to the new American Idol experience, watched 3 people sing and voted for our favorite
Cara getting a great ride on Daddy's shoulder

And crashed out in the stroller for an afternoon nap

Once awake it was time to hit the Toy Story ride, one of our favorites

Another fun and busy day!! We stayed and watched Fantasmic (despite it being quiet chilly that evening) but it made for a late night!
