11 teeth and busy working

Cara now has 11 teeth, 2 more molars made an appearance in the past few days
Busy typing away, obviously watches Mommy and Daddy on the computer to know what to do

Also, mimics what Daddy does while working on music, one hand one each keyboard

Hi!

Our big girl now has 11 teeth, all the more to help her chew her big girl foods now. No wonder she wanted to chew on everything the past few days, her poor gums look so sore. She handled it very well though.
She loves to use the computer, she begs to sit on our laps whenever we are on the computer. She could just type away, and loves to use the mouse. She also loves to help Daddy make music on the musical keyboard. It is so cute.
We took advantage of the gorgeous weather yesterday and went to the zoo. I will try to post pictures from that in the next day or two.

Hanging out with Mickey and Minnie

September 2006

Posing with Mickey and Minnie one year later! September 2007
Here is Cara posing with the same Mickey and Minnie as she did one year ago. What a difference a year makes!

Recent Pictures

Go Colts, with remote in hand, wearing her lucky bib, Cara helped us cheer on the Colts to a 3-0 start for the year with a win over Houston!

The other day Cara was carrying around her baby doll in the carrier, which was so cute, until Mommy got out the camera and the baby hit the floor, then Cara was much more interested in the camera

Cara is drinking out of Mommy's water bottle all by herself, she didn't spill a drop!

This dress makes her look like the big girl she is becoming, no longer a baby :(

It is hard to see this picture, but Cara is sticking her nose on the glass of the curio cabinet and squishing it, I thought it was so funny, I had to get out my camera to capture the moment.

Cara is growing up so fast. She knows so many things now, it is hard to believe how smart they are when they are so young. She says several new words consistently! I discovered just today that she now has 9 teeth, one of her top molars came through. She is gumming everything so we think the other molars will be making their appearance very soon.
Cara is just busy enjoying life. We are looking forward to some fall like temperatures for more playtime outside. She loves it outside, especially now that she walks everywhere, but it has been so hot the past few days. Hope you enjoy our most recent pictures!

More Pretty Dress

Posing pretty in front of the flowers
Giving Mommy a hug

Big girl sitting in the chair on the front porch, not quite in the most ladylike position

Blowing raspberries, notice the drool running down the chin
It has been a while since I have posted anything new, basically because we have been boring, busy with work, not doing anything fun, so no new fun pictures. So I thought I would share more of our photo session in her pretty dress. Hope you enjoy!

Pretty Dress

Cara wore one of the dresses she got for her birthday for the first time the other day, and she looked picture perfect. So we took advantage of the gorgeous weather outside and the flowers that are still looking good and had a photo session! We took about a hundred pictures so it was hard to pick just a few to put on here! Hope you enjoy these!

Big Helper

One advantage to having a walker around the house is having a "helper" when cleaning. She recently was helping Daddy run the swiffer vac on the hardwood floors. Thanks Cara!

Happy Grandparent's Day

I want to take this opportunity to say Happy Grandparent's Day to some of the most important people in my life, my grandparents. I am so lucky to have all 4 of you as important figures in my life. Whether you are feeding me, playing with me, babysitting me, or just spending time with me, I treasure every moment. I am really working hard on saying Grandma and Grandpa and can't wait until I can say it. Please know that I love each of you very much and thank you for being in my life!

Also, Happy Grandparents Day to my 2 Great Grandmothers! I know I don't get to see you often enough, but you are always in my heart!

Cuddles and kisses, Cara

New Walking Shoes

Our new walking girl needed new shoes! So, the other day Grandma and I took Cara to Stride Rite to get fitted for perfect learning- to- walk shoes. All summer she has been wearing sandals, which are not the best to walk in. We even got the "lacekeepers" to prevent her from untying her shoes, which also have bells on them which ring when she walks. So cute!

Trip to the Zoo

Cara is sharing her snack of goldfish crackers with the ducks in the pond
Playing on the drum in the African adventure area

Getting carried by Grandpa

A very friendly sea lion visiting with Cara

Feeding the geese with Daddy

Mommy showing Cara a baby calf in the petting zoo

Grandma and Grandpa A treated us to a visit at the zoo on Saturday. The zoo has a new baby giraffe born in early August that was supposed to be able to be viewed, but they did not have any giraffes out while we were there. Cara was able to feed the ducks her goldfish crackers, then we fed the geese some corn. Cara enjoyed seeing the animals up close in the petting zoo area. She also enjoyed the sea lions, which came up close and stayed to visit for a while. It was a beautiful day so the zoo was pretty crowded, but we had a good time.

Happy Labor Day

Cara is golfing
Cara got this little denim outfit for her birthday and the cooler weather on Saturday morning gave her a chance to wear it with the jacket, isn't it cute?

Cara is trying out the tractor, while Daddy and Grandpa are busy working in the yard

Taking a little swim, aka skinny dip, in Grandma's alligator pool

On Friday we headed up to Grandma and Grandpa A's house for a visit. Cara had not seen her grandparents in 3 weeks since Aunt Cyndi left, and boy were they surprised by the changes in her. She is now only eating table food, will even eat things Mommy doesn't like! She also is WALKING! We got to their house on Friday and Cara started taking a few steps like she did at home, then she just kept going. There was no stopping her, she just kept walking all weekend! She finally has it mastered. Of course, there are times when she crawls, but she at least always attempts to walk first. Grandma has a great video of her walking on her blog!

On Saturday we headed out the the Fort Wayne Childrens Zoo, that will have to be another post, there are too many pictures! Saturday evening, one of Mommy's friends, Sally, came over for a visit. She had not seen Cara in several months and was surprised at how big she has gotten. Al and Sandy, Grandma and Grandpa's friends, also came over for dinner. We enjoyed a nice Labor Day weekend cookout with everyone!
Sunday was a nice relaxing day. We did not pack Cara's swimsuit because the weather had turned cooler and we figured the pool water would be much too cold for Cara. Little did we know that the inflatable alligator pool would be ready to go with warm water for a quick swim in the afternoon sun on the deck! So, with no bathing suit, and in the privacy of the screened in deck, Cara went skinny dipping in the alligator pool. She loved it and played for quite a while. She really had fun when she pulled out the plug and let the water run loose all over the deck and all over a fully clothed Grandma sitting right next to her.
We headed back for home Sunday evening after dinner. We enjoyed our visit with Grandma and Grandpa and look forward to seeing them again soon!
