Cara LOVES to eat lemons when we go out to eat, and she enjoyed making a silly lemon face here
Then she insisted Grandma do it too, she also took this picture (don't think Grandma thinks it is as tasty as Cara does)

Despite checking her flight status before leaving home and thinking it would be nearly on time, we arrived at the airport to find out the flight was an hour late because of snow in Detroit, so we grabbed a table and snacks

After walking around and waiting, we finally see Cyndi's plane arrive at gate A13, here is Grandpa holding Cara up to the window to see it
Aunt Cyndi arrives safely back home again in Indiana! Tired and weary from a LONG day of travel, but so excited to see the family (especially Cara)

Aunt Cyndi (and Uncle Danilo) brought her a stuffed leopard which is so soft and huggable, Cara calls him her tiger
On the way back from the airport our guest of honor wanted dinner at Outback, so here is Cara and Mommy being silly waiting for our food

Cara got yet another present when we got back to the house, a blue Princess dress up outfit with matching Barbie Doll. It is a bit big but great for growing into, and she loves twirling in it
Cara had been sick for a couple of days and the day before was diagnosed with a ruptured eardrum at the doctor's office, so she was not really in the party mood and definitely not about to smile for the camera! Don't worry she got lots of extra lovin' from her Mommy, Daddy, and Grandpa and Grandma A! So this picture is not very good of daddy or Cara but it was the best we had to go with!
On Saturday Daddy's jazz bands were performing in a jazz contest at a high school in Fort Wayne. Despite some major bus trouble and arriving 2 hours late, we were treated to some wonderful jazz music.
They went straight from the bus to the warm up room, to the stage to perform!
Cara was INTENTLY watching and tapping the beat with the band, it was so cute
Our best effort of a pic of the 3 of us, Cara was pretty wound up and feeling pretty good Saturday morning, we timed the ibuprofen right!

Cara got new sunglasses on Friday night and insisted on wearing them to church on Sunday, but we thought she looked pretty cute in them

Later in the day we met my whole family at Ted's Montana Grill for the big birthday dinner, we were also celebrating my Grandma's birthday (which is the same as mine), and Grandpa F's which is next week

After the delicious dinner we headed back to Grandma and Grandpa F's for cake and ice cream sundaes
Once we got back home I got the rest of my birthday presents from Daddy and Cara, they also got me Mario Kart for Wii (guess we have lots of video game playing in our near future)
They got me a beautiful bouquet of roses for my birthday and Valentine's day
And another birthday cake which Cara was excited to help me blow out the candles on

Then Saturday evening we had some great family time with a fire in the fireplace
And I got to open one of my birthday presents early and we played Price is Right Wii
And it was so sad to see our snowman melt away on Saturday, here are his remains on Saturday afternoon
Earlier in the week we had a playdate with Ali, Nyla and Lyvia at our house
Ali got into costume fun by trying on the JoJo costume
Last week Grandma A sent Cara a package of penguin fun for a learning lessons on penguins. We read a book about them, cut one out of paper, and had sticker fun too. Thanks Grandma A!
