The most anticipated place for Cara on our little Chicago trip was finally here, shopping and dinner at American Girl. Earlier in the day we browsed through American Girl but did not let Cara buy anything, we wanted to think about it before making too many impulse buys :)
So we got Cara and baby Cara dressed up and ready to go
We had a special birthday dinner planned at the American Girl Cafe
She was so cute in helping Baby Cara "eat"
She was bring a stinker but I wanted a picture of the 3 of us
And after dinner she was serenaded with the birthday song and cake
Make a wish...
And at the end of the visit to the store with plenty of bags to carry back to the hotel. What a lucky (spoiled?) little girl!!

How on earth will you guys top yourselves next year?
Looks like fun. I am sad that we didn't get to Chicago this past summer. The time just ran out. Next time I am home, we will have to plan a trip. I bet Uncle Danilo would enjoy a lunch at the American Girl Cafe! Nothing like that here in Italy!
