Chicago Day 2

After an early lunch at the Corner Bakery and Cafe we headed to Millenium Park before it got too hot. The high temperature in Chicago for the day was 100 and the heat index was already 115 when we were at the park. Luckily Scott found a good shady spot for Will and the grandparents while Cara and I played in the fountains!

After an afternoon swim at the hotel (we stayed at the Sheraton towers right on the Chicago river) we dressed and headed to RPM Italian restaurant for dinner.  This is the restaurant owned by Guiliana and Bill Rancic whose reality show I adore!  We were even seated at their private table that evening!

After dinner we took a taxi over to Navy Pier!  We got tickets for the giant ferris wheel which has breathtaking views looking out to Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline!
