Cara's Christmas Program

Eagle Elementary's 2nd grade Christmas program was a much anticipated event in our house.  Our little singer had been gleefully singing the songs for 2 months in anticipation of the big performance!  Ready to go and perform in her new Christmas dress!

As usually she gets the back row, she is one of the tallest in her class!

But she was in a breakout group that "soloed" in this song

And the concert was concluded with a little square dancing!

Christmas Concert at Rossville

One of my most favorite concerts of the year, the Rossville bands Christmas concert! Who doesn't love Christmas music?!

One of my cuties waiting for the concert
My other cutie!
Jazz band
Cheek to cheek
This picture is blurry but it was funny that Will crossed the aisle to go sit where the middle school students were sitting and was so proud to hop in the seat by himself
6th grande band
Will was quite restless during the concert and I swear if we didn't have connections they probably would have asked us to leave!
The high school concert band
Every year the concert's final number is "Sleigh Ride" and this year Scott invited any alumni to come back to play and these ladies and gentlemen jumped at the chance!

The lobby was decorated with lots of photo spots, which the auditorium director said she did just for us because she knows we always have a photo shoot after a concert!
Will preferred to sit on the steps instead of participate in the cute backdrops!
The famous Rossville bridge.  I could make a scrapbook of all the pictures of Cara on the bridge since she was a baby!  They decorated it special for us!

Photobombed by Will but he would not cooperate for a picture :(

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Decorating took on a whole new level this year with our little tornado around!  Miraculously once the tree was done he has only taken off a couple of ornaments but pretty much ignores it!

The American Girl Fashion Show

I found an advertisement for the American Girl Fashion Show and found out about a modeling audition to be a part of the show and I knew Cara would love this chance.  We were so happy she was selected and it was perfect that she was asked to represent the newest historical doll, Caroline Abbott!  When Caroline was first available last fall we knew she was going to be a part of our family right away not only because of her name but also because Cara looked so much like her!  Long blond curls and all!

Grandma, Cara's bestie Grace and me
Aunt Cyndi and Grandma Abbott came to watch their girl too!

Cara as Caroline Abbott with the Caroline doll

Cara did a great job modeling as Caroline!
 End of the show!

After the show!  Cara and Grace posing on the runway!

Here is a picture from dress rehearsal of all the girls!
In addition to the try out day Cara had two other rehearsals including a dress fitting and an official dress rehearsal.  It was a lot of fun for her to be a part of this.

Trick Or Treating

Due to excessive rain, wind and storms on October 31st most of Indiana postponed Trick or Treating to November 1st.  Cara went as Glinda the Good Witch and Will was Tigger!

Our gang for trick or treating! Grace, Bella, Elizabeth, Mary, Abby, Cara and Will
It only took about 2 houses for Will to get the hang of it!

What a fun night!  I had to head into work after trick or treating but I am so thankful that someone stayed over for me so I could go with my kids!
