Easter Day at Grandma and Grandpa's House

Grandma F got her this cute shirt with colored eggs all over it, so cute and festive

Cara checking out her Easter basket from Grandma and Grandpa

Then Cara went to go see what Oscar got in his Easter basket

The Easter bunny brought Charlotte makeup, so she brought it to Grandma and Grandpa's house. Cara was absolutely thrilled that she was letting her share! Of course she ended up with sparklies all over her face, but the enjoyment of watching her was worth it.

We also celebrated Oscar's birthday on Easter, because he and his family will be in Florida for his birthday. He loved his Elmo cake and was a pro at blowing out the candles, which we did a few times for his enjoyment.

Finally getting around to getting caught up with blog posts. Wanted to share some pictures from our fun Easter day. Grandma and Grandpa's house is always a fun place to be, but even more so with all the cousins to play with. Thanks for hosting a fabulous Easter day!!

Easter Present from Italy

Cara loves unwrapping presents, she eagerly dove into this one

Ripping the paper off, piece by piece

yeah, this bunny is so soft and cute
All of her goodies from Italy, yummy!

Thank you Aunt Cyndi and Uncle Danilo for the yummy treats from Italy. Cara was thrilled to get a package in the mail, and even more thrilled when she found out what it contained.
Thank you!! Lots of cuddles and kisses from Cara

Trip part 2

The 3 of us at dinner at Palomino

Mommy and Cara swimming at the hotel, Cara LOVED it

Daddy holding Cara for this picture

After the concert we checked into our hotel in downtown Cinci, checked out our room and then headed out for a walk. We walked all over these skywalks to different small shopping areas. After some walking we decided to have some dinner at Palomino, yummy! Once back at the hotel we decided to check out the swimming pool. Cara loved swimming, she wanted to stay longer than we did. She loved "jumping" in from the side.
The next morning after breakfast we headed across the river to the Newport Aquarium. The aquarium was more crowded than we expected, probably because it was so cold and blustery out. They had a great shark exhibit, but Cara's favorite were the penguins.
A stop at the brand new IKEA in northern Cinci was next on the agenda. 2 hours later, we were on our way home. Scott found a new desk for his office at school, and Cara got a few new things from IKEA. One was an artist easel which has been a huge hit already! Well worth the $20 bucks it cost!!

Dooblebops! part 1

Cara and Mommy in our seats waiting for the show to start, we were really early as evidenced by all the empty seats around us

Rooney, Deedee, and Moe Doodle on stage singing
During intermission Daddy went up higher to take better pictures without the staircase in the way
Deedee Doodle ( we thought she would be Cara's favorite, since she is a girl, but Cara always yells out Moe)

leaving the concert with our purchases
Her official doodle flag, it lights up at the top

We took Cara to her first official "rock" concert this past week. We went to see the Doodlebops live! They are a show on the disney network, they sing and dance. Cara LOVES them!! So they are on tour right now and we missed them when they were in Indy, so we headed for a overnight getaway to Cincinnati to see them there. We got 3rd row seats (not bad for purchasing them just a week before the show). Cara was amazed and intrigued during the whole show. She held onto my neck and arm for dear life, always afraid what was going to happen next. She was not really afraid of the concert, just afraid of the unknown. We were "those" parents, who bought her a souvenir, cotton candy, and a slushy! Nothing like a sugar high to make sure you have fun right!!

Happy Easter

Checking out her Easter basket, hmmm...what do I grab first?
One year ago on Easter morning, just wanted to show the difference a year makes

Mommy reading her new book to her from the Easter bunny

Wow, a Wonder pets movie

The 3 of us, it came out a little blurry which is sad because we are all smiling and looking in the same direction

This is the norm of most of our pictures lately, half of the head, the head turned, or just completely miss the face and get the back of the head, but I like her crooked smile in this one

Happy Easter to all! We have had a busy couple of days, which will be our next couple of blog posts! But we wanted to wish all those near and far a happy Easter! We were out of town the past couple of days, got home last night, and started the day nice and early by dressing up and heading to church at 8 am. Cara was not quite ready to get up that early today, but she did great through mass. Then we went out to breakfast, then home to see what the Easter bunny dropped off last night. She got a few movies, a new book, a Mickey Coloring book, and some eggs with M & M's, yummy! This afternon we will head over to Grandma and Grandpa F's house, for an Easter lunch and fun time with the cousins. I am sure we will have more fun pictures soon!

Cara's Most Recent Pictures

This one is on top today because we are cheering on our Hoosiers in their NCAA game!!
I love this smile, she was sitting on a stool and I was holding her and tickling her thigh

This is a real bunny that she found fascinating, by the end of this round of pictures she was holding it, but this was by far the sweetest picture

She would not just stand up in the center for pictures, so we had to keep using props, but this little wicker chair looks adorable for easter pictures

She found this bear on their props shelf and fell in love, it was her idea to put him on the bench
Since we never did official 18 month pictures, we went this month to get special Easter pictures. We thought they came out great!! Hope you enjoy them as much as we do!!

Easter Bunny

Last Sunday we took Cara to see the Easter Bunny. She was terrified of Santa Claus, so we were not sure how she would do. She was a little scared at first, but she did think it was pretty neat sitting on a bunny! She really liked the Easter bunny when he gave her a lollipop after their picture. Thanks Easter Bunny!

Big Girl Bed

Helping Grandpa F take apart her crib

Checking out the half taken apart crib, hmm...this is weird

Hi Mommy, are you taking our picture? :)

Wow, my new bed, it is sooooo comfy!

Grandma F made me a new fleece comforter and pillows for my big girl bed, I LOVE Mickey!

Mommy had a few sad moments while watching Daddy and Grandpa F take apart Cara's crib. How is it possible that my baby isn't a baby anymore and needs a big girl bed? It isn't that she outgrew her crib, she just hated it's confinement! So, Mommy and Daddy were tired of sharing our bed, so we thought a new bed might do the trick. We had some extra babyproofing (toddlerproofing) to get done, and now with a gate at the top of our stairs (right across from the door to Cara's room), Cara can sleep in there all by herself.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

The other day we dressed up Cara in her St Patty's shirt, complete with her green headband to get some pictures for the occasion. We were quite surprised that she was in the mood to "pose" for them. Sometimes we are constantly chasing her to get a picture, but she sat on the stairs and said "cheese", just waiting for each picture to be taken. Then she headed into the dining room to play peek-a-boo behind the curtain.

Happy St. Patrick's Day from our favorite leprechaun!!

Happy Birthday Daddy and Grandma F

Loving the sunshine and 60 degree weather today while swinging

The 3 of us, out to eat to celebrate the birthdays

Daddy and Grandma watching Cara eye their cake while we sing Happy Birthday

Yummy, cake and ice cream is so good

Birthday celebrations

Daddy opening his presents
Daddy and Grandma F share a birthday, so we celebrated together with a dinner out to red Lobster, followed by cake, ice cream, and presents back at the house. Cara got Daddy a digital frame for his office, so he can look at lots of pictures all day instead of have picture frames all over. We enjoyed a beautiful day, the sun was shining, the temperatures were warmer. A perfect day for using our swing!
Grandma and Grandpa A are here enjoying time with all of us during Grandma's spring break. It is nice that they were able to be here to celebrate Scott's birthday. And Cara has been getting lots of cuddles and attention these past couple of days.
Happy Birthday to Daddy and Grandma!!
