Such A Big Helper
We have enjoyed this nicer weather and the opportunity to plant flowers. Cara was such a great "helper"! But it is so fun having her old enough to participate in our little projects! I will treasure these days because when she is a teenager and too busy for Mom I will have these memories!!

Thank You Aunt Cyndi and Uncle Danilo
Ever since Aunt Cyndi left and I got the new picture hung I have been meaning to do this post, and I am finally getting around to it!!
The night before Aunt Cyndi left she presented Cara with yet another present!!
Cara looking excited! Oh boy, what's inside?
A beautiful picture of her 3 favorite princesses, drawn by Uncle Danilo! Aunt Cyndi got a frame made for it while she was here.

We love Sunshine Weekend
After the week of rain and gray skies, it was so nice to be treated to a gorgeous weekend of warm and sunny skies!!
Friday evening we sat out on our screened porch and enjoyed the evening air! Earlier in the week when Cara had been over to Grandma and Grandpa F's house, she found this doll. This is one of Mommy's most beloved dolls, Mary Noel. I got her for Christmas one year and she was the best! Cara has adopted her and loves taking care of her. For some reason Cara insists on calling her Emily, even though I told her the name many times. But as long as Cara is having fun it doesn't matter what she calls her.

Mommy with Cara and doll "Emily"
Cara insisted that Mommy and Daddy stop and pose for a picture, well really about 10 but I only chose to post one!
When I put pictures into my "blogger" folder to be resized and used for blogger I always rename them by date, so as I was putting them into this post I found this picture, dated 4-20-08! She looks so much older and bigger than just one year ago, but she still loves to help me mow.
Saturday morning started with our cars getting a much needed oil change by Daddy which was then followed by an intense interior cleaning! Totally not on our "to-do" list for the day, but definitely needed. In this picture Daddy is hosing and scrubbing down the car mats. Cara got a little wet from the spray and insisted on using her umbrella for the remainder of the job. Hilarious!

Thank You Very Much
We have no idea where Cara picked this up from, something on playhouse Disney probably, but it was so cute. So we were able to grab the camera and record it. So funny!! Enjoy!

High School Band Concert
Thursday night was the spring high school band concert at Daddy's school.
Daddy getting a big hug from Cara before the concert starts
Cara standing on steps leading up to the stage, checking out the set up on stage
Sitting and watching the concert, here she looks mesmerized
After the concert and once all the equipment was cleared off stage, Cara and Daddy were walking around, this is the first time Cara wasn't scared to be up on the stage. Wish she would have started belting out one of her songs! Of course there was no one left in the auditorium at this point so she could have!
There was this cute well and flowers set up in the lobby, so I talked her into posing in front of it.

Easter Sunday
All dressed in her Easter finest to celebrate at church
We told her that if she was good at church the Easter Bunny would be coming to our house and leaving a surprise, and she was so good during Mass today
Checking out her Easter basket and already trying some candy
The Easter bunny brought her a bike and a new helmetWe had a serious discussion with the Easter Bunny regarding Cara getting a new bike. It was decided that even though we were planning to wait until her birthday to get her a bike, we could get a lot more use out of it this summer if she got it now. And she was super excited which made it worth it!
We went over to Grandma and Grandpa Fox's for Easter dinner!
Cara is getting her Easter basket of goodies from Grandma and Grandpa
Showing off her Ariel jewelry set
The grandkids are off in search of eggs, they each had a limit of 21 eggsWe had a wonderful Easter! The weather was beautiful, a little warmer would have been better though. It is so fun to share these holidays with a two year old. We enjoy having the chance to teach her about the meaning of holidays, and share the innocent spirit, and watch the magic in her eyes! We treasure all these moments!!
Easter Weekend Part 1, Egg Hung, Oscar's birthday and Pacer game
We had a super busy but fun filled weekend. On Saturday morning we went to the Easter egg hunt at the park. Here is Cara patiently waiting for it to start.

they had sections based on age groups for the hunt, here is Cara standing in front of the 2 and under section
And showing off her loot after it was over, which was all of about 9.8 seconds after it started
Then a couple of hours later we went to the neighborhood egg hunt and Cara got to see the easter Bunny, which was a good thing because we never made it to the mall this year
And they were off, again another mad dash for eggs. A little girl showed up right as it was ending since again it lasted less than 10 seconds and we felt bad for her, so Cara shared her eggs and we threw a few back so that little girl could get some too. Cara had only about 7 eggs to start with so it was nice to share 3, then of course I notice another girl that had about 20 in her basket. These things need a limit :)
Then it was time to go to Monkey Joe's for Oscar's birthday party, Monkey Joe's is a bounce place for kids and it was a total blast.

This picture looks like Cara and Oscar are deep in coversation while bouncing
Time to celebrate with the birthday boy, Monkey Joe came in to share birthday wishes

Cara giving Mommy a great big hug during the game
The pacers played Detroit and led most of the game, which made it more exciting to watch
Daddy's turn for a great big hug
Cara checking out the bottom of the popcorn container and making sure none was left :)

We left the game at beginning of the 4th quarter because it was getting late. Cara fell asleep in the car and stayed asleep when we got home. Which was a good thing because the Easter bunny needed to visit!

Last Week
Not sure where the past week went but it definitely flew by! So I wanted to do a quick recap of some highlights (and lowlights) of the past week. Last Thursday we had to say goodbye to Aunt Cyndi! It was a sad day!!
Aunt Cyndi adopted a new cat to take home to Italy, which she named Olive! While we were shopping at American Girl Aunt Cyndi found a little cat that looked like her new cat so she bought it for Cara to remember Olive. Cara named her new kitten Olive also! So they posed for a picture at the airport.
Cara is ABSOLUTELY devastated to realize that she is not going on the airplane with Cyndi. We think she thought we were all going since we had just recently been at the airport and gone on a trip! Grandma is trying to console her while being sad herself!

Posing for last pictures before leaving, it is a bit blurry but the only pic I have of Grandma, Grandpa, Cyndi, Olive and Cara
