Conner Prairie with Ali

We had a playdate with Ali and Kitty at Conner Prairie for their Prairie Tykes class, this one was learning about Indians. They made Indian rattles, enjoyed a story about Indian, got to see Indian apparel and even got a snack too!

Thanks for the fun Kitty and Ali!

Furry Sisters...

It brings joy to my heart to watch Cara take care of her "furry" sisters. We don't know if God has more children planned for us so that is one reason we got the kittens as playmates for Cara.

Let's just say they are being good sports and letting Cara do whatever, whenever with them. For instance being carried around in a little metal basket....

Mickey's Magic Show

We are finally using Grace's birthday present to Cara: tickets for all of us to go to Mickey's Magic Show together!

The girls were SUPER excited! First off we all drove downtown together in their car, which the girls squealed in delight during most of the drive!
Then they were excited to be going out to eat at Scotty's prior to the show!
We were dumped for Cara to hold hands with Grace and Marcy as we walked to the show
Waiting in anticipation....
For some magical times with Mickey, Minnie and friends...

Cinderella's coach magically appeared
And she was dressed and ready for the ball like magic too!

The girls waiting during intermission
For some sno-cone fun, in Minnie cups!
Yumm-o!
This was amazing...always wondered how they cut people in half and put them back together!
They were loving the show and the chance to spend the day together
What a wonderful show! Thanks to the Cates' for the fun day! Everyone had such a fun time!

Halloween 2010

Halloween 2010! Oh what fun when you have a 4 year old involved!!

Mommy posing with our Halloween kittens!
Our little Alice in Wonderland! What a perfect Alice!
Mommy and Daddy with "Alice"
We went trick or treating with Cara's bestie Grace who dressed as Jessie!
Grace's twin sisters came along in the wagon, one was tinkerbell and one was a bumblebee!
The girls were so cute and excited to be together!
They LOVED ringing doorbells!
And loved running back to tell us what goodies they got!
And loved discussing it among themselves too!
By the end of the night we had a cold tired little girl
Thanks bestie, what fun we had!!

In the Spirit of Halloween!

Grandma Abbott gave us this little costume for the kittens, so first we dressed Minnie as a witch! She was "frozen" not sure what to do about this crazy outfit!

Then we dressed up Daisy (I put her on the blanket this time because it is hard to see black cats on a dark blue couch)!
Daisy was definitely not a fan!
Trying to get the costume off!

Pumpkin Carving Fun...

Last weekend we had Lacey, Derek, Wyatt, Gigi, Matt and Reece over for some pizza and then pumpkin carving!

Wyatt was having fun playing with some of Cara's toys and also playing with everything else he is not supposed to touch (the cable box, remotes, fireplace tools, etc)!
I thoroughly enjoyed some snuggle time with Reece, he is simply adorable!
Time for pumpkin fun!
Cara got to hold Reece!
Wyatt enjoyed his cupcake dessert!
Derek, Lacey and Wyatt working on pumpkins
Scott was deep in concentration
Gigi did a Colts pumpkin this year
Lacey was working on her "moderate challenging" pumpkin design
This was Matt during the pumpkin fun, holding Reece, watching football and working on the computer
The dog and pig were Cara's designs!
Our finished pumpkins, designs picked out by Cara of course. Ariel (Emily's) is on the left and Tinkerbell (Scott's) is on the right!

What a fun night we had with friends! Looking forward to keeping up this tradition and can't wait until all the kids are old enough to help!!
