Megan & Chris's Wedding

One of Scott's favorite students got married and invited us to her wedding.  Such a cute fall theme wedding.  Unfortunately it was a super rainy day and the outdoor ceremony had to be inside but still beautiful.

Ugh, blurry but such a cute couple!  Congratulations Megan and Chris!

4 Months, Home photo shoot!

For my baby shower Scott's mom gave me several outfits that Scott wore as a baby, this particular one he wore for his 4 month photos and I had to recreate it again for Will! Wish Will had been a bit more cooperative for the pictures but you get the idea!

Even wearing Daddy's shoes!

Will didn't want to sit up as good as his Daddy did for his pictures, but I think they both have about the same chubby legs! The outfit held up pretty good for being 40 years old!

At 4 months William weighed 15 lbs 15 oz (60%) and was 84% for height (can't remember the exact number).  He just started wearing size 2 diapers and wears 3-6 month clothes but is about ready for the next size.  He eats about every 3 hours during the day and every 4-6 hours at night (with some surprise nights of sleeping 8+ hours).   He loves attention and is the happiest and best baby if he is held and talked to all day long.  He loves his playmate and is really starting to play with his toys.  He loves his car seat and falls asleep almost instantly in the car.  He tolerated his 4 month shots pretty well but it was hard on Mommy, never heard him cry that hard ever but at least it was short-lived.   He is starting to really pay attention to Cara and lights up when she gets in his face to talk to/play with him.

Apple Festival at Beasley's Orchard

Our annual tradition of attending Apple Fest!  This year Grandma and Grandpa Abbot and Aunt Cyndi came with the normal crowd of Grandma and Grandpa Fox and Oscar!  Who knew it would be so chilly and uncomfortable out there but we bundled up and made the best of it!
Will had the warmest seat in the house!
And then a snuggle wrap with Mommy to get on the hayride
 Family photo op!

 Cara and Oscar

Hayride!  Scored a nice corner seat so I could lean against something!
 Grandpa Fox and Cara

 Pumpkin patch
Everyone in search of the perfect pumpkin!
Cara found a great one for Will!
Waiting for the hayride to come back!

 Balloons!

 Picture time!
My adorable little pumpkin in the pumpkins!
Cute little toosh!

What a fun family day!  Wish it had been a bit warmer but at least we made the best of it!  Thanks everyone for coming with us!

A little of this...

A little of that!
Cara playing in her tutu outfit and Minnie mouse shoes!
And trying out a wrap carrier with Will!
We are heading out of town in a couple of weeks so I borrowed this wrap from my friend Gigi to make things a little easier at the airport/on the trip with Will!

St Louis part 3

Didn't realize I had another days worth of pictures to add! We went back to American Girl on Sunday because they were having free crafts in honor of Caroline Abbott so Cara wanted to go again (of course!)
Here they could make a hat like Caroline's

So pretty!
And her was a craft to make an embroidered greeting card!
They also had a scavenger hunt where you had to go around the store and find clues and get a prize if you could answer every question (the prize was a poster of all the historical dolls)
Then we stopped at St. Louis bread company (known in our parts as Panera) to have a yummy lunch before making the long drive back!  And it was a LONG drive!  We got into stopped traffic on I-70 and the trip took almost 6 hours when it should have taken 4 :(    Rough when you have a 6 year old and 4 month old traveling with you!!

St Louis part 2

The big trip to American Girl, how it came to be... So for months Cara had been saving her money (from the tooth fairy, doing special chores at home, birthday money, etc) and had never found anything special at the store to buy. Then one day we were reading about a new American Girl coming out named "Caroline Abbott". Right then and there Cara knew she HAD to have this doll, sight unseen, the name was good enough. So we patiently waited for the September release of the doll and in August they finally released pictures of her and low and behold she looked just like Cara, big blue eyes and long blond curls.  Cara could  not wait to go buy her!  So we thought it would be much more special to Cara to head to an AG store and let her pay in person since she had worked so hard at saving her money!
Picking her box!
Will looking not even one bit enthused to be shopping at American Girl!
Taking her big purchase to the register
Mommy helping her count her money
Mommy gave her a little bit extra so she could get the book set and accessories set too
Beautiful Caroline and Cara Abbott
Caroline's display in the store.  Caroline is from 1812 so we are excited to read her books and learn of her life back then!

Big purchase complete!!
Later that evening Scott and I went to a venue called "The Palace" to see Steve Vai and we were pleasantly surprised to see his opening act was Beverly (the rocker chic from season 1 of "The Voice")
Steve Vai jammin'
A really cool rock harpist (who would ever think of playing harp with guitar rock)
Really cool venue, very neat and clean (and smoke free!)

What a fun little weekend getaway!  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Fox for going with us and staying with the kids so we could both go to the concert!
