Easter 2011

The Easter bunny dropped off some goodies at our house!
Cara had left some sugar cookies out for the Easter bunny to enjoy, which he must have because he ate most of them!

Cara got lots of good things in her basket, plus a little doll table for her dolls to enjoy!
After church we went to Grandma and Grandpa F's house for more Easter fun! Cara is modeling her new Easter dress with Elizabeth since they had matching dresses!
Cara and Oscar, best buds!
Time for the Easter egg hunt, again the weather cooperated and the rain stopped in time to have outdoor fun!

But the rain boots helped keep her feet dry from the soggy grass

What a great Easter! It was also a great year for teaching Cara about the true meaning of Easter!

Busy Saturday

We had quite a long list of activities to do the day before Easter!

The first was going to the Easter Egg hunt in our town park! It had been a rainy week and rain was predicted for this day too, but the sun was shining down on the fun!

And they are off, with about 30 seconds to gather as many eggs as you can you have to be quick!

Going through her eggs to see if she found any special prizes! She really enjoyed all the candy!

Our next afternoon activity included our neighborhood Easter Egg hunt sponsored by a realtor who lives in the neighborhood. It was trying to rain on this one, but we were prepared with a rain coat and umbrella!

The Easter Bunny made an appearance!
More Easter egg dyeing was also on our to-d0 list!
We bought this neat kit that had little paint rollers to roll the colors on the eggs

Cara showing off our fancy eggs

Our next activity was heading to the Gas City Cracker Barrel to meet Grandma and Grandpa A for a visit and eats!
Sitting on the Cracker Barrel porch enjoying the beautiful weather and fresh tulips
What a busy, fun and long day! Now home to bed to get ready for the Easter Bunny visit!

Easter Egg Dyeing!

Cara could not wait for the day when we could dye Easter eggs!

A display of our hard work! We didn't have enough eggs for her liking so I promised we could do more the next day!

Palm Sunday Egg Hunt

On Palm Sunday our church hosted an egg hunt after Mass. I had to work the weekend so it Daddy and Cara met Grandma and Grandpa at church.
Must have been a bit windy :) I love the hair!
The thrill of the hunt is exciting as what is inside the eggs
Thank you to the youth group at St. Malachy for a fun activity for the kids!

American Idol 2023??

Recently Cara has been asking for a strap for her guitar so Daddy bought her a cute pink and black one, perfect for her to work on her playing skills

She uses the camera tripod as her microphone to belt out her tunes. She would not sing a tune for the video camera but hopefully soon!

We love mani's and pedi's

Our pretty piggies, now sandal ready
I love shellac! This is a gel nail polish with a 14 day wear time that is awesome! They put your hands under a UV light between each layer of nail polish for a super durable and shiny finished product!
Cara did not get shellac but wanted to show off her pink sparkly nails too!

preview!

Showing off her dance recital outfit which finally came in! She is so excited for her Spring recital and has all the words and the dance memorized already! Can't wait for the big day!!

So happy for sunshine and warm days again!

We are all so happy for some warmer weather for outdoor fun every day! This past weekend Scott enjoyed the warm breezes as he Spring cleaned the garage! Don't know how it gets so disorganized every winter but it sure is nice when it is all clean and orhanized again.

Cara enjoyed playing outside all day! Note...she picked out her own clothes for the day, hence the not matching stripes but I pick my battles and what she wears when we hang out at home is not a battle worth fighting :)
She got to enjoy driving her Barbie jeep! She is a MUCH better driver this year. Even when she ran into something she just put it in reverse and kept on moving.

And I was already scolded by Daddy and Grandma for letting her ride her bike in her flip flops, okay okay...but she did enjoy getting some bike riding time in!
Thank you God for these nice warm days that we are able to enjoy and rejoice in!

Tea Party

For days last week Cara was talking about the tea party she was hosting on Saturday. She even invited Grandma and Grandpa Fox over for her tea party on Saturday. I thought all week it was a pretend tea party but soon found out she wanted a real one! She called Grandma at 11:30 on Saturday and said we would be eating at 1pm. Wow...I had a lot to do in a hour and a half.

She helped me plan the menu. We had to use things we had at home, no time to get to the store. Although we did have time to match a quick batch of cupcakes!
She helped me set the table, and for those etiquette know-it-alls I was informed that I had the silverware backwards. Need to brush up on my Emily Post techniques so I can properly teach Cara!
So Cara happily hosted a real live tea party. Ashleigh was staying with Grandma and Grandpa Fox so she joined in the fun. Cara was so excited and thoroughly enjoyed every moment!
