Our First Date...20 years ago!

Hard to believe our first date was 20 years ago on August 23, 1993!  This picture is not from that date but from sometime during our first year of dating.   Our first date was not really planned as a date but we ended up going out to Mcdonald's one day shortly after we both moved into our dorm rooms for the school year.  Who knew what that date would lead to but here we are 20 years later..married for 16...2 kids...lots of vacations, memories, happy times and a few said times too...but overwhelmingly blessed and in love!

Scott's New Car

Scott recently traded in his blue Dodge Challenger for this purple one.  Cara loves the new car and we are planning to pass it on to her to drive someday (i know you are laughing with me that Scott would actually drive a car long enough to pass on to her).

Will could not get enough of the fountain and Cara loved it too, both were soaked and loved every minute of it!

We got on the Mystic Blue to enjoy a dinner reception

my cute dancing fools
What a beautiful end to a beautiful day!  We had planned to go back to the hotel change and then walk to see the Navy Pier fireworks but by the time we got back to the hotel and changed we were all beat and I think asleep within minutes!
