Cara cuteness

So the other day Cara was carrying this around. I figured it had one of her baby dolls in it!
"No Mom, look" these sweet kitties are so cute allowing Cara to play with them all the time!

Shining Star!

Since the beginning of the school year Cara has been dying to be the "shining star" of the week! They were in reverse alphabetical order so it took a while to get to her! When you are shining star you get to be line leader, weather reporter, bring in photos of your life, and bring in a special show and tell and your favorite book!

So in my true procrastinating fashion here is Cara and I decorating her shining star construction paper with stickers and pictures of her favorite things in life at 9pm the night before school :)
As always I loved doing this craft project with her! Maybe I can break out all my scrapbook supplies and scrapbook her life up until now with her help :)

On the same day I got my drastic haircut we already had plans to go meet Zaina's new puppy, go watch her ice skating lesson, and then all go to dinner!

New Hair Cut

So for the past year I have been intentionally growing my hair extra long to donate it to Locks of Love. I finally reached my limit and was sick of my hair so I decided to go for it and have it cut off.

Scott's new Challenger

Scott got a new challenger for Christmas, a model just like the one he drives! He loved it and went quick to work to painting it and putting it together. Every last detail is like his actual car!

Colts playoffs and a little love from Italy

We all wore our jerseys to have our own little Colts playoff party! Let's Go colts!
We also had received a package from Italy that day, Cara's Christmas goodies from Aunt Cyndi and Uncle Danilo! Don't know why it took almost a month to get here, but we are glad it arrived!

Wicked!

Wicked is easily my favorite musical. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it on Broadway almost 6 years ago. I knew it was playing in Indy and couldn't believe we didn't go see it. Well, the temptation was too strong and we bought tickets that afternoon for the final performance in Indy. We were excited to introduce Cara to it and see if she loved it. She has heard the CD many times in the car.

Elphaba was simply amazing and the smile on my face at intermission was as vibrant as her singing voice. Her Defying Gravity was nearly as good as Idina Menzel sings on the CD. Cara was entranced through the whole thing and told us afterwards she liked it even more than she thought she would. What a perfect way to start the new year!

Cheers, Happy New Year!! Cara easily made it to midnight and could have kept going most of the night! What a fun party in our pajamas with snacks, champagne and the love of family!
