8 1/2 weeks

Sorry for the delay in posting, Daddy has been taking the camera to work which meant the memory chip with all of her pictures was not available to put pictures on our blog. Cara is usually very calm outdoors, so we have been taking walks whenever possible. The first picture is Mommy and Cara walking in the neighborhood, then the next picture is one up close of Cara in her stroller.

In the last picture Cara is hanging out with her best friends Mickey and Minnie Mouse!!
Cara is 8 1/2 weeks old now. She goes in for her 2 month check up on Monday so we can post then how much she weighs and how long she is! She definitely keeps growing!!

7 1/2 weeks

Yeah, Cara keeps growing and growing! I miss my tiny baby but love that she is getting more active! We played peek-a-boo the other day and she was laughing out loud! It was so neat! She is such a good baby, we are really lucky!

Play Time

Here is Cara hard at play! We are already using the toys we received! Cara loves musical things! Her smile can brighten any room! Isn't she cute!!!

6 WEEKS!

Wow, I can hardly believe my baby girl is 6 weeks old already!! Here are a few pictures I have taken the past couple of days. We tried "tummy time" for the first time today with her boppy pillow. She is definitely practicing lifting her head up.

Her and daddy enjoyed some play time together last evening; here they are reading a book!

She smiles and tries to coo, it is so cute. She is sleeping fairly well, wakes to eat every few hours but generally goes right back to sleep.

Happy Grandparent's Day!!

Sunday September 10th is Grandparents Day!! Ok- it is more like a Hallmark holiday than a true holiday, but it does deserve mentioning on our blog. Cara is very lucky to have 4 grandparents who adore her and can't get enough of her and spoil her to pieces!!

Thank you to her grandparents for all that you do for all of us!! We are truly blessed!!

Labor Day Weekend

We went out of town for the first time with Cara to Grandma and Grandpa A's house in Ft. Wayne. On Saturday my parents, Mike, Lisa, Dillon, Oscar and Ashleigh (my cousin) joined us for a cookout as well as several friends from the area who couldn't wait to meet Cara. As seen in the above pictures we went fishing. Dillon is showing off a bluegill that he caught. Cara and Oscar got in some play time together. We also played croquet, and ended the night with a fire to make smores!

On Sunday we repeated the same thing, with different friends and family. It provided a great opportunity to have people meet Cara without dragging Cara all over the city!

A huge thank you goes out to Grandma and Grandpa A for providing the house, food, and fun for all!!

Holding Hands

This week we had a photographer come to our house for photos with the family since our out-of-town company was here. I love this picture of Cara holding our hands. About 30 minutes before the photographer got here Cara decided to scratch her face, she scratched hard enough to make a nice red mark for her pictures!

Cara went to the doctor yesterday. She now weighs 8 lbs 15 oz and is 21.5 inches long. I had prepared myself for her to get a shot, but she doesn't get any until her 2 month check-up.
